Discovery at launch pad, 19 May 2006. Discovery at Launch Pad 39B at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA, after rollout for launch for mission STS-121. The launch took place on 4 July 2006. Discovery was part of NASA's Space Shuttle program. It flew 39 missions over a period of 26 years, being retired from service in March 2011.
