Also seen are the Indian Ocean (upper right), Australia (right), New Zealand (lower right), the South Pacific Ocean (bottom), South America (lower left), the South Atlantic Ocean (upper left) and Africa and Madagascar (top). This image was produced by combining data from the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP), NOAA's POES and Nimbus 7 satellites and the MODIS instrument on board NASA's Terra satellite.
