Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

George Shaw (10 December 1751 – 22 July 1813). English zoologist most famous for his illustrated encyclpaedic zoology books such as his General Zoology"(16 vol s 1809–1826) and with Nodder "The Naturalist's Miscellany"( 1789–1813). In those books he gave the first scientific description of the Platypus and some of the first informed accounts of the remarkable new species emerging from Australia. In 1786 he became the assistant lecturer in botany at Oxford University. Co-founder of the Linnean Society in 1788, and a fellow of the Royal Society in 1789. In 1791 Shaw became assistant keeper of the natural history department at the British Museum and became the keeper in 1806. He was succeeded by his assistant Charles Konig who brought more order to the Museum. Darwin decided not to send his Beagle specimens there in the 1830's because of the poor curation in general."
