Artist's Description

Illustration of the light beam entering the human eye. The light passes through the cornea, a transparent coating and hits the lens, which is partly covered by the iris. The lens focuses light on the retina (not seen) at the back of the eye. Light sensitive cells in the retina transmit impulses to the brain.
