Lepocinclis acus euglenoid protists and (3) Chlamydomonas sp. green algae, focused into the middle of the cells. Lepocinclis acus are elongated euglenoids with one red eyespot, several lenticular green chloroplasts and several transparent, uncolored, rod-shaped paramylon grains. Microscopic contrast technique : Differential interference contrast. Magnification 580x when printed 10 centimetres wide.
