Description
Grand Canyon sightseeing helicopters. Millions of tourists visit the Grand Canyon every year. The helicopter rides allow tourists to see the landscapes and geology of the canyon systems. The 6-million-year-old Grand Canyon system is a set of gorges eroded from the rock by the Colorado River. It extends for hundreds of kilometres, is nearly 30 kilometres wide, and at its deepest is 1.5 kilometres deep. Photographed in July 2016, at Grand Canyon National Park Airport, Tusayan, Arizona, USA.
