Escitalopram oxalate. Molecular model of the drug escitalopram oxalate (C20.H21.F.N2.O. C2.H2.O4). This drug, sold under the brand name Lexapro, is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class. It is used for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adolescents and adults, and generalized anxiety disorder in adults. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (dark blue), oxygen (red) and fluorine (light blue).
