This cloud-free view uses natural colours, which indicate land cover: vegetation (green), ice (white), and deserts (light brown). Colours also indicate coastal shallows. The deep ocean is a uniform blue, with the Arctic Ocean shown free of sea ice. Major features of this hemisphere include the North Atlantic Ocean, Greenland, the Arctic Ocean, western Asia and Russia, the Middle East, Africa, and parts of the Americas.
