Cells stained for proteins. Fluorescence light micrograph of cells stained (pink and blue) for the cytoskeletal proteins actin and tubulin. Cell nuclei (orange) are also highlighted. The cytoskeleton of a cell consists of protein filaments and microtubules that control cell shape and contribute to cell movement. The colours in this image have been inverted from the original.
