Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Barbara McClintock (1902-1992), US cell geneticist. McClintock is most famous for her work in the 1940s and 1950s on the genetics of maize. She discovered the moving of genes in chromosomes, by observing patterns of kernel coloration. She named these genes transposable elements. In 1983 she received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for her work on mobile genetic elements. Photograph in 1972.
