Artist's Description
Animal research laboratory. One of the many laboratory rooms inside the Zentralen Tierlaboratorien (ZTL, Central Animal Laboratory) in Berlin, Germany. The building is highly sanitised, with pressurised stainless steel doors (seen at centre) in order to prevent airborne pathogens from contaminating the laboratory rooms. Stainless steel is used widely throughout the building, as it is easily sterilised.
