Description
Glassmaking. Historical artwork of workers in a 19th century glass factory. Plate glass is being made here. The glass has previously been heated by furnaces and flattened by rollers, and is now undergoing fine grinding down, ready for polishing. Image taken from Grands Hommes et Grands Faits de l'Industrie (Great Men and Great Facts of Industry), France, circa 1880.
