Description
Zebra chip potato infection. Potato tubers (Solanum tuberosum) infected with zebra chip disease. The tubers have been cut to expose the dark, stripe-like areas in the tissue. These become more visible when the potatoes are turned into crisps (chips). The disease is caused by the bacterial pathogen Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum.
