Description
Water effects on landscape. Artwork showing the effects before (top) and after (bottom) of water erosion on a limestone landscape. The erosion has left waterfalls, channels, and steep-sided islands. In both views, water percolates downwards through cracks in the rock, forming underground rivers, sinkholes and caverns. These processes and formations are an example of karst topography.
