Description
Thermal conductivity. Experiment to demonstrate the different thermal conductivities of different metals. Four metal bars are seen (left to right): steel, brass, aluminium and copper. The ends of the bars are dipped into hot water. On each bar is a thermochromic temperature strip. This changes colour depending on the temperature. The higher the thermal conductivity, the faster the upper parts of each bar gets hot.
