Description
Cassini spacecraft image of the surface of Saturn's moon Iapetus. Dark material is seen on the walls and floors of craters in the transition region between the moon's dark and light sides. Iapetus is Saturn's third largest moon and is mostly composed of ice. Image taken by the spacecraft's narrow-angle camera on 10th September 2007 at a distance of approximately 6,030 kilometres from Iapetus.
