Star trails over sculpture in the Atacama Desert, time-exposure image. Star trails (here circling the southern celestial pole) are created on long-exposure images by the Earth's rotation on its axis. La Mano Del Desierto ('The Desert Hand') is an 11-metre-tall sculpture completed in 1992 by Chilean sculptor Mario Irarrazabal. Photographed in 2019.
