Spotted eagle owls. Juvenile spotted eagle owls (Bubo africanus). These owls are nocturnal predators, hunting insects, small birds, rodents, crabs, snails and bats in woodlands and rocky areas. They are found in Africa and in parts of Arabia. Photographed at Twee Rivieren camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, southern Africa.
