MODEL RELEASED. Speech therapist working with a four-year old boy with dyspraxia, a difficulty in expressing language. The boy is using the Nuffield Dyspraxia Program. This is a method of practising the sounds he finds difficult; he places a coloured circle over each picture after he has spoken the name of the object it represents. Any person with a disturbance of language or a disorder of articulation, voice production, or fluency of speech may be helped by speech therapy. Such problems may occur as part of a broader problem, such as physical handicap, learning difficulty, or hearing loss. Speech therapists work with all age groups.
