Description
Spacewalk. Against the blackness of Space, astronaut James S. Voss, payload commander, stands on a mobile foot restraint attached to Space Shuttle Endeavour by a remote manipulator arm. For extra safety he is tied to the arm by a thin white cable. Note the reflection of the shuttle nose in his visor. This photograph was taken during mission STS-69 (7-18 September 1995) while Voss tested new tools and spacesuit accessories designed for use on board space stations.
