Description
South Georgia pipit (Anthus antarcticus) bringing food back to its nest. This bird inhabits South Georgia Island.It feeds on insects and other invertebrates. It is a shy bird, and its colouration provides camouflage amongst the grasses in which it nests. It reaches a length of around 15 centimetres. Photographed on Bird Island, in the South Georgia Islands.
