South African fur seal (Arctocephalus pusillus), also known as the Cape Fur Seal, surfacing in a harbour. Fur seals are so-named for their thick pelt, unlike true seals which have only a thin covering of hair. Photographed at Kalk Bay in the western Cape of South Africa.
