Description

Soap film patterns sequence. The sequence starts at left and ends at right. Over time, under the influence of gravity, the soap film degrades and breaks up. When white light is shone on a soap film (a thin mix of soap and water), coloured interference patterns are formed that correspond to the thickness of the film. These patterns allow researchers to determine how liquids flow.
