Description
Slices of mouldy bread. The white areas are fungal mycelia, masses of thread-like structures (hyphae) that absorb nutrients. The blue-green areas are the fungal spores (reproductive structures). Penicillium is a common fungus to infect bread, producing mould of this colour.
