Seven deadly sins. 1889 illustration depicting the seven deadly sins from Christianity, with the Devil at centre. The seven deadly (or cardinal) sins are a classification of vices used since early Christian times to educate Christians on morals and ethics. They are usually named as pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth.
