Description
Sea mist. This sea mist, or fret, is caused by the uplift of moist sea air over land. However, once the air has traveled only a short distance over land, it loses its moisture and the mist disappers. This can result in a cold, damp coast with warm, bright sunshine slightly further inland. Photographed near Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.
