Description
A detailed view of the scorched carpet (Ligdia adustata) resting on a leaf in a deciduous woodland habitat. The flight period is April to June and again in August with a double brood each year. The species is a member of the geometridae family and is found through Europe into Asia but mainly confined to the west and south west in the UK. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in April.
