Artist's Description
Samuel Chao Chung Ting (born 1936), US physicist. Ting received the Nobel Prize in 1976, with Burton Richter, for discovering the subatomic J/Psi meson particle. He is currently (as of 2015) the principal investigator for the international Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment, which was installed on the International Space Station on 19th May 2011.
