Description
Salmon nets. These nets, seen in an estuary at low tide, are strung on poles to catch wild salmon migrating up rivers from the coast. This is the Solway Firth, on the south-western coast of Scotland. The salmon caught here are Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar).
