Salmon farm food. Worker using a hand shovel to feed salmon at a fish farm. This salmon farm is off the West Coast of Scotland, near Port Appin. The salmon are reared in the circular pens seen here, being fed by hand on pellets of fish food three times a day. They are being fed on Bio-Optimal CPK Plus fish food from BioMar. There are 40-50,000 fish in each pen. Photographed in April 2006.
