Description
Russian helicopter pilot. This pilot flies a helicopter that is based on the Russia nuclear-powered icebreaker ship Rossiya. The helicopter is used for reconnaissance flights, where it checks whether the ice on the planned route ahead of the ship is thin enough to be broken by the ship's hull as it passes through it. Photographed off Murmansk in the Russian Arctic in 2002.
