Description
Rosemary. Sprigs of the herb rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), an evergreen shrub of the mint family. It produces pale blue flowers in late spring. The herb is used to season food, and as a herbal remedy. Tincture of rosemary is a remedy for poor circulation and varicose veins, and is a stimulating tonic for people recovering from illness. The essential oil of rosemary is used in aromatherapy. Rubbing the oil on the temples supposedly improves memory and concentration. Aromatic water containing rosemary is used as a hair rinse and skin toning lotion.
