Description
A piston from one of the diesel engines of a Crawler transporter used to transport the Saturn V Moon rocket and Space Shuttle from the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to the launch pad at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The piston is on display in the Space Walk of Fame museum in Titusville, Florida, and according to a label weighs 48 pounds (about 22kg). The piston is approximately 40cm high and 30cm in diameter.
