Reflection nebula NGC 1788. This nebula is a cool cloud of gas and dust that glows by reflecting the light of hot young stars nearby. It appears blue as blue light is scattered more than red light. The nebula is part of the large Orion Complex of gas and dust, which includes the Orion nebula, which lies around 1500-1600 light years from Earth in the constellation Orion.
