Red Fuji, view of Mount Fuji by Hokusai. This illustration is part of the series '36 Views of Mount Fuji' by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). It shows the volcano's reddish hue at dawn in early autumn. It is also called 'South Wind, Clear Sky'. Mount Fuji (3776 metres) is the tallest mountain in Japan. This artwork dates from around the period 1830 to 1832.
