Description
Radiotherapy mask. Medical worker and a patient in the radiotherapy department of a hospital. The patient is wearing a rigid radiotherapy mask that is custom-made to hold the patient's head in position while the treatment is carried out. Markings on the mask can show where the radiation is to be directed. Guide lasers (green) are from a computed tomography (CT) scanner being used to help plan the radiotherapy. Photographed in the UK.
