Plum pox virus infection. Leaf of a Chenopodium foetidum plant with yellow spots caused by infection by the Pennsylvania isolate of the plum pox virus (PPV). Also known as sharka, PPV is from the Potyvirus genus of plant viruses and is a serious disease of stone fruit such as plums. This plant is an important indicator species for this disease.
