Plant cell components and organelles, illustration. The cell wall (dark green) is lined with a plasma membrane (light green). The nucleus (blue) has a nucleolus (dark blue), a nuclear envelope and nuclear pores (holes). Membranes (pink) include rough endoplasmic reticulum (with ribosomes, yellow dots), smooth endoplasmic reticulum (filaments) and the Golgi apparatus (folded). Also shown are a mitochondrion (orange, upper left by nucleus), chloroplasts (green, oval), a vacuole (centre right), microfilaments (green), microtubules (blue), peroxisome (orange), plasmodesma (holes in cell wall).
