Piestewa Peak and the city of Phoenix. This mountain, with its summit at an elevation of 796 metres, is inside the city limits of Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Originally called Squaw Peak, the mountain was renamed for Lori Piestewa, the first Native American woman to die in combat in the US military. Piestewa was killed in Iraq in 2003. Photographed in April 2008.
