MODEL RELEASED. Physiotherapy. Female physiotherapist carries out McKenzie mobilization on a female patient. The therapist places both her hands underneath the patient's jaw and gently lifts the patient's head. This is done to extend the uppermost part of the spine (cervical spine). McKenzie mobilization is a mechanical method of treating pain and other symptoms. The therapist will manipulate the patient's body in order to centralize the pain and abolish it. Once this is done the patient can be taught simple exercises to address the pain and shown correct postures to prevent it.
