Description
Philippine flying lemur (Cynocephalus volans), illustration. This flying lemur cannot fly and is not a lemur. Also known as colugos, the flying lemurs glide between trees using the flaps of skin between their legs. This flying lemur reaches a body length of around 35 centimetres. It feeds on leaves and vegetation in its tropical forest habitat. It is endemic to the Philippines.
