Angiogram of the right leg of a 77-year-old diabetic patient with peripheral vascular disease, showing extensive occlusion (6cm) of the right superficial femoral artery, including the beginning of the popliteal artery. Peripheral vascular disease, which affects blood flow and can cause tissue death (necrosis), is a complication of diabetes mellitus type 1.
