Description
Richard Feynman and Paul Dirac (left). The British theoretical physicist Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac (1902-1984) used his famous relativistic theory of quantum mechanics to predict antiparticles. The American theoretical physicist Richard Phillips Feynman (1918-1988) is famed for contributing to the theory of quantum electrodynamics (QED). Dirac and Feynman won shared Nobel Prizes for Physics in 1933 and 1965 respectively. Photographed in 1962 at the International Conference on Relativistic Theories of Gravitation in Warsaw, Poland.
