Artist's Description

The bright star at upper left is Vega, the brightest star in the constellation of Lyra. A white star which appears blue in colour, it is the fifth brightest star in the sky, with a magnitude of 0.04. It is 26.4 light years from Earth. 10 min exposure, f/3.2, 180 NED, Fujichrome 400+1, Anza site. *****R620/114 is used for 35mm dupes that show a detail of the original 35mm slide (which was coded R620/052). Medium format dupes of R620/052 are cropped so that some detail is lost. Finally, medium-format dupes of the full image are coded R620/115.
