Description
Northern black korhaan, or white-quilled Bustard, (Eupodotis afraoides). This bird is found in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, and South Africa. It inhabits open grassland and scrub, feeding on plant matter and insects, as well as snails and lizards. The loud harsh call of this korhaan is often heard during the morning. Photographed in Etosha National Park, Namibia.
