Description
Satellite image of two low pressure systems in the North Atlantic. The system at bottom left is centered off the Azores. The system at upper right is centered off the south-west of Ireland. In the UK December 2015 was one of the warmest and wettest on record as weather systems from the south west brought warm moist air to the country. Image data obtained on the 14th December 2015 by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi-NPP) weather satellite.
