Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Maria Goeppert-Mayer (1906-1972), German-US nuclear physicist. Goeppert-Mayer is best known for her work on the Manhattan Project, which produced the first atomic bomb. She was appointed as professor of physics at the University of Chicago in 1946. Here, she worked on the Nuclear Shell Model, developing the concept of magic numbers (the numbers of protons or neutrons that occur in very stable atomic nuclei). She shared the 1963 Nobel Prize in Physics.
