Description
Leo I dwarf galaxy (lower right). This galaxy is a faint assemblage of stars that is overshadowed by the brilliance of the bright star Regulus (Alpha Leonis, upper left), the 21st brightest star in the night sky. Leo I lies around 8-900,000 light years from Earth, and is considered to be a distant satellite galaxy of our Milky Way.
