Komodo National Park, Indonesia, satellite image. Water is blue, vegetation is green and bare ground is grey. This National Park covers around 600 square kilometres and was formed to protect the Komodo dragon, the largest living reptile. Komodo Island is at top left, Padar Island is at centre and Rica Island is at lower right. Image taken on 20th July 2000 by the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) instrument on NASA's Terra satellite.
