Description
Southern India and Sri Lanka, photographed by the crew of Gemini 11 during their mission of 12-15 September 1966. Sri Lanka is seen covered in cloud to the right of the southern tip of India. The Gemini 11 mission lasted for 44 Earth orbits, during which the crew successfully docked with an Agena target vehicle which had been launched separately on the same day as the astronauts.
